Junkbox #78

Junkbox #78 has a cool vintage style and creamy fuzz tube like tone. Junkbox #78 looks like a tape recorder that a 1960's psychiatrist would use to record sessions with their patients in the loony bin, which is fitting because the tone is crazy! Dial back on the volume on the guitar and Junkbox and the tone cleans up nicely. This unit has a toggle switch to increase the versatility of Junkbox #78. When the toggle switch is in "amp mode" position, Junkbox #78 functions as an amp with the output fed through the internal speaker. When the toggle switch is in "pedal mode" the internal speaker is killed and the signal is sent to a 1/4" output jack so that Junkbox #78 can be used in conjunction with Output Control Stompbox #37 in the signal chain.

Junkbox #78 runs on AC Power or 6 C-Cell Batteries. This unit features a carrying handle that stows conveniently into the unit. Batteries not included. Cassette tape player and recorder functions have been disabled as part of the conversion process. These are pics of the actual unit that you will receive. Output Control Stompbox #37:

What does this thing do? I'm glad you asked. Imagine you've dialed in the perfect fuzz or dirt tone on your Junkbox and you want to incorporate this tone into your signal chain and use your Junkbox like an effects pedal. The Junkbox Amplification Output Control Stompbox is the solution to this problem! Plug your guitar into the 1/4" jack labeled "input." Plug your guitar amp into the 1/4" jack labeled "output." Plug the input jack of the Junkbox into the 1/4" jack labeled "S." "S" is short for "Send." Plug the output jack of the Junkbox into the 1/4" jack labeled "R." "R" is short for "Return." Use the footswitch to engage and disengage the Output Control Stompbox. When the LED indicator is illuminated, the Junkbox is incorporated into the signal chain. When the LED indicator is off, the Junkbox is bypassed in the signal chain. Start with the volume knob off (all the way to the left) and dial in an appropriate volume to match the volume when the Junkbox is bypassed in the signal chain. Now you're ready to rock, it's that simple! Only recommended for use with a Junkbox and not intended for any other purpose.
